In the summer of 2013, Deborah Trytten hosted a Computer Science Tapestry Workshop with faculty from the University of Virginia. This workshop allowed 26 K-12 teachers from around the country to come to the University of Oklahoma and learn how to teach computer science in a way that is engaging to female students.
